My trip to Madrid

On Tuesday, the 8 we went to Madrid on a cultural trip with my class. We travelled by AVE and we arrived there at 12 o'clock. When we arrived we went to the hotel to leave the luggage and then we went to “El Congreso de los Diputados”. There we visited the inside but because there was an assembly soon afterwords. Outside we did some oral presentations and when we finished we went to have lunch in “EL MESÓN DEL JAMÓN”, a restaurant in the centre of the city. After that we went to the Prado museum, to visit some famous pictures and to do more oral presentations. It was funny. We went to el “Parque del Retiro” this day too, and we did some interviews and photos. In the evening we went by metro to the “Ópera” and we had lunch there in “Cadena Fresco”. At night we went to the hotel to watch a football match and after that we chatted in the mobile and we talked with friends. Sincerely, we didn't sleep much that day. The second day we got up and we had breackfast in the hotel. Then we went to “La Plaza del Sol” and we did an oral presention. We visited “El Oso y el Madroño”, and “El Quilòmetro Cero”. After that we went to “La Plaza Mayor” but later we returned to “El Sol” because we visited an exhibition about the poor people and the water they have. It was very interesting. Then we went to “Palacio Real” and “The Almudena Cathedral”. We had lunch at the same restaurant as the first day evening and we went to visit an exhibition of the warriors of Terracota. I think that it was a bit boring but that's only my opinion. After that we went to visit “La Cibeles” and “La Funte the Neptuno”. These two fountains are very famous in Madrid. There we did some presentations and after that we had dinner in “Plaza Mayor”. We ate a “bocata de calamares”, a typical food of Madrid. Then we had free time and we returned to the hotel to sleep. It was the last night. The last day we got up earlier than the second and we had breakfast. Then we went for a walk at “Gran Via” and after that we visited “El Templo de Debod” am Egyptian present to Spain, and “El Senado”. There we took some pictures and we did the last presentations. After that we had lunch and we returned to the hotel. There we took the luggage and a few minutes later we arrived at the AVE train station. There we had some free time and we bought some sweets. At eight o'clock we arrived home in Banyoles.

Our opinion of these trip is really good because it was fantasic and funny with the anecdotes, the falls... If we can, we would like to repeat the same trip, but not exactly, we would change some things.

Patrick Dempsey was born on January 13 the 1966, in Lewiston, Maine and grew up in Buckfield, Maine. Is an American actor and a race car drive, best known for his role as a neurosurgeon Dr. Derek Shepherd on the ABC medical Drama Grey's Anatomy. Prior Grey's Anatomy he made a several television appearances and was nominated for an Emmy Award.

Dempsey was diagnosed with dyslexia at age twelve. As a result, it is necessary for him to memorize all his lines in order to perform, even for auditions where he was unlikely to get the part.

He was nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series–Drama at the 2006 Golden Globes for the role.

Dempsey has been married twice. In 1987, he married actress and acting coach Rochelle "Rocky" Parker. She appeared with Dempsey in the film In the Mood. The couple divorced in 1994.

On July 31, 1999, Dempsey married Jillian Fink. The couples have three children, a daughter and twins.

In 1997, Dempsey's mother was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Her cancer has relapsed five times over the past fifteen years. In response to his mother's bouts with cancer, Dempsey helped start the Patrick Dempsey Center at Central Maine Medical Center in his home town of Lewsiton, Maine.

1.-My Last summer

Hello, my name is Laia and now I going to talk about my last summer. 

First I'm going to explain the Spanish rowing championships, and finally I'm going to explain my trip in Haileybury (England).

Spanish rowing championships:

I took part in the Spanish rowing championships from the 5th to the 7th of  July. The qualifying we did the first position and the other boat with Cristina, Laura, Marta and Alba, were fourth. The other boat went to playoff and they classified to final A, me and Laura, Marina and Laia we classified directly to the final A. It was exciting final. We were first! And the other boat was third! To celebrate that we won, the eight grils went to sleep in my house.

Haileybury:

On 22th of July I went to Haileybury a town in UK, for two weeks. I went with my sister Carla and two more friends, Júlia and Mireia. When I arrived in London all the group took one bus and we went to the college. When I arrived at the college we went to the bedroom, then we had diner and fially we had one exam. In the morning the lessons started at 9 o´clock finsh at 1 o'clock, in the middle we had a break and you can go to th dining room to eat cookies, In the afternoon I did some activites (normally sport) and on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday an optionally on Sunday I went to an excursion. We went to Hertford, St. Albans and  also to London three times.

My last summer

My Last Summer

Hi, my name is Laia and now I'm going to talk about my summer holidays.

First I'm going to explain my trip to Mayfield (London), second I'm going to explain my trip to Croatia with my family and finally I'm going to explain the days I stayed in St Antoni.

Mayfield:

In July I went to Mayfield with my sister Carla for two weeks. When I arrived in London all the group took one bus and we went to the college. The frist day we met all the people in the campus. Tge others days, the morning the lessons started at 9 o'clock and finished at 1 o'clock, but in th middle we had a break. In the afternoon I did some activities and on Wednesdays I went to an excursion.

The last Saturday we went to London, in there we stayed all day. In the morning we went shopping then we met the group at 2 o'clock and we had lunch.

After lunch we went to visit London, the Big Ben, the London Eye, the Buckingham palace...

After that at 8 o'clock we returned to the college for dinner.

On Thursday we returned home.

Croatia:

In August I went to Croatia with my family.
We stayed there for 5 days.
When we arrived we went to rent a car to visit the country.
The second day we took the car and we went to the beaches for swimming all the family.

All the days we did the same. In the morining we swam in the sea then we relaxed and in the afternoon we visited the country, especially the capital Dubrovnik, and we had dinner there.

One day we went to Montenegro. We stayed there for hours and then we returned to the hotel.

St Antoni:

Finally I stayed in Sant Antoni for a few days. In there in the morning I went to the beach with my brother and my sister and in the afternoon I stayed at home until 7 o'clock, when all the family went for a walk.
Other days we met my parents friends and we had a lot of dinners out.

My last summer was fantastic and funny!!

Hello, my name's Laia. I'm 12 years old. I'm from Catalonia, Banyoles and I'm a student from Escola Casa Nostra. I'm interested in cooking, sport, chatting on the internet and Catalonia Independent. My favourite sport is rowing and my second favourite sport is cycling. I've got a bike. It is 1 year old. My favourite book is gold fish. "Un campió sobre rodes". I've got two dogs, four birds and four goldfishes. My friend Jaume Segovia is a happy person. He's got a brother, his name's Toni. He loves animals and he's got a dog. Her name's Nuca. He's also into sport he likes rowing, wind-surfing and BMX (cycling). He practises rowing, (in the future he's famous star in Rowing). He's interested in chatting to people on the internet. He likes cooking.
