Hi,

My name is Laia Tortós-Sala Granés and I live in the south of London, in England. I like the area where I live, so I want to improve it.

In my opinion there isn't anywhere for young people to go. There aren't any facilities for them. As a result young people spend all their time hanging around on the street. There are sometimes problems with vandalism and graffiti.

I think the council should do something about this. I'm sure they must have a youth club which local people can use to stay there and talk, watch a DVD, for example.

Jessie: Are you Ok? Can you swim?

Luke: No, I think I'm injured,  I've broken my wrist and my food. I can't move it and it teally hurts. What am I going to do?

Jessie: Don't panic! Let's phone costeguard.

Luke: Ok, but hurry up! I don't know how long I can stand here.

Jessie: Ok, Ok, hang on! I'm sure that someone will come soon!

How an ugly girl became the strong and hilarious star of her own show and the host of the persitgous Golden Globes in Hollywood on January 12

Are you sitting comfortably? Then I'll tell you a modern-day fairy tale about a gril in New York...

Once upon a time, there was an ugly girl called Tina who nobody loved. She was fat and had a scar on her face and none of  the boys were nice to her. Except the gays ones.

Um... sorry, that doesn't sound right. You don't get gay characters in fairy tales. Still, I'm a journalist, not a storyteller, and this is a very Cinderella-like story about someone called Tina Fey, so let's just go with it, shall we?

The fat, funny girl

So wihle all her friends where asked out by boys, poor Tina was lonley and unloved. She knew she was not beautiful like the other grils, so she became the fat, funny one instead. And yes, people liked her for her humour, but that's no compensation when you're still a virgin in your mid-twenties.

"Too much information", did I hear you say? Look, I'm doing my best to Diseny-up the story here, but facts are facts. Tina has discussed the virginity thing herself. And it's not as if I told you that her facial scar dates from when she was five and a stranger attacked her with a knife while she was playing in the garden.

     Oh... crap. Ignore that please. That has no place in fairy tale. Stuipd jounalist.

Destination New York

Where were we? Oh yes, one day, btave and funny Tina decided she would seek her fortune in the world. She travelled all the way from Chicago to the big, bad city of New York where she got a job writing jokes for the TV show called "Saturday Night Live".

  Okay, I've totally lost it now. I'm just not in fairy-tale mode there. It's yokur fauklt for making me tell you about the psycho with the knife. Let's be journalistic about this: Saturday Night Live is the biggest comedy show in the States. It's been on TV since 1975 and almost every Amerian Comedian you've seen in the movies started their careers there: Mike Myres, Eddie Murphy, Adam Sandler, Will Ferrell and many, many more.

And every Saturday night people would laugh at the jokes she wrote for the famous comedians, but poor Tina stayed in the shadows because everyone thought she was too fat and ugly to appear on TV.

   At least she had a boyfriend now. True, Jeff was only 1.52-meters tall. Which was 10cm shorter than her. But he was a talented composer, and he loved her. And they got married and had kids, so nyaah! Sorry. I lost my objectivity there. You see, I really like Tina Fey.   

  But then NBC fired two top comedians from "Saturday Night Live". And Mike Myers quit. So the desperate producer, Lorne Michaels, decided to put Tina on Camera.

    "She doesn't have the looks", said Hollywood agent Sue Mengers. But Lorne didn't listen to her. And do you know what? The first time Tina appeared on Tv everyone saw something extraordinary had happened...

   "Suddenly, she's become this sexy, showing-tit, hot-looking woaman," says Mengers. "I said to Lorne, 'What the f*** did she do?' "How did she go from ugly duckling into swan?" answer Lorne Michaels. "It's just sheer force of will."

Sexy Tina is a hit

She had lost weight, chaned her hair, her clothes, her posture... in the most famous makeover of TV history, Tina Fey reinvented herself like an actress playina a role: sexy Tina.

    And so it was that Tina Fey became a star. She was funny, and clever, and everyone thought she was super-cute. Especially with the scar, which gave her face character. Soon she had her own show, "30 Rock", which won prizes as the best comedy on TV year after year. And that, my friends, is how the ugly, lonley girl from Chicago became the Queen of American Comedy.

    Seriously.

   Too much of a fairy tale to be true, you think? Believe me, you're not the only one: "I am constantly amazed by Tina Fey," says one plerson who observed her transformation. "And I am Tina Fey."

My trip to Madrid

On Tuesday, the 8 we went to Madrid on a cultural trip with my class. We travelled by AVE and we arrived there at 12 o'clock. When we arrived we went to the hotel to leave the luggage and then we went to “El Congreso de los Diputados”. There we visited the inside but because there was an assembly soon afterwords. Outside we did some oral presentations and when we finished we went to have lunch in “EL MESÓN DEL JAMÓN”, a restaurant in the centre of the city. After that we went to the Prado museum, to visit some famous pictures and to do more oral presentations. It was funny. We went to el “Parque del Retiro” this day too, and we did some interviews and photos. In the evening we went by metro to the “Ópera” and we had lunch there in “Cadena Fresco”. At night we went to the hotel to watch a football match and after that we chatted in the mobile and we talked with friends. Sincerely, we didn't sleep much that day. The second day we got up and we had breackfast in the hotel. Then we went to “La Plaza del Sol” and we did an oral presention. We visited “El Oso y el Madroño”, and “El Quilòmetro Cero”. After that we went to “La Plaza Mayor” but later we returned to “El Sol” because we visited an exhibition about the poor people and the water they have. It was very interesting. Then we went to “Palacio Real” and “The Almudena Cathedral”. We had lunch at the same restaurant as the first day evening and we went to visit an exhibition of the warriors of Terracota. I think that it was a bit boring but that's only my opinion. After that we went to visit “La Cibeles” and “La Funte the Neptuno”. These two fountains are very famous in Madrid. There we did some presentations and after that we had dinner in “Plaza Mayor”. We ate a “bocata de calamares”, a typical food of Madrid. Then we had free time and we returned to the hotel to sleep. It was the last night. The last day we got up earlier than the second and we had breakfast. Then we went for a walk at “Gran Via” and after that we visited “El Templo de Debod” am Egyptian present to Spain, and “El Senado”. There we took some pictures and we did the last presentations. After that we had lunch and we returned to the hotel. There we took the luggage and a few minutes later we arrived at the AVE train station. There we had some free time and we bought some sweets. At eight o'clock we arrived home in Banyoles.

Our opinion of these trip is really good because it was fantasic and funny with the anecdotes, the falls... If we can, we would like to repeat the same trip, but not exactly, we would change some things.

Dempsey was diagnosed with dyslexia at age twelve. As a result, it is necessary for him to memorize all his lines in order to perform, even for auditions where he was unlikely to get the part.

He was nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series–Drama at the 2006 Golden Globes for the role.

Dempsey has been married twice. In 1987, he married actress and acting coach Rochelle "Rocky" Parker. She appeared with Dempsey in the film In the Mood. The couple divorced in 1994.

On July 31, 1999, Dempsey married Jillian Fink. The couples have three children, a daughter and twins.

My last weekend

4.- A memorable day

A memorable day:

I remember my last Christmas, 11 months ago. It was a memorable Christmas. 

First, I celebrated "el tió" here in Banyoles, and the next day I went to Err, a town in France. I went to skiing every day. I got up at half past seven and I had breakfast, then at half past eight I went to Les Angles or Puyvalador. When we were there I took the boots and skis and I was skiing all morning from nine o'clock to one o'clock. Finally I went home and had lunch.

There were a lot of people in the slopes. I remember the snow clearly because it was perfect, it didn't stop snowing and there was a lot of snow. It was a really fun my Christmas and I felt very happy.

3.-My ideal home

Here we are in my ideal home. It's a modern flat on the outside of th town, on a beautiful hill. I'ts got four bedrooms and in the all the bedrooms there is one bathroom. It's got two more bathrooms, a kitchen and a living room. The living room has got a nice balcony and you can see the lake.

On an ideal afternoon in my ideal home we're all here. I'm in the pool now. Here I'm on the computer and I swim in the pool ans sometime, my friends come to swim. My parents are sitting on the sofa and watching TV. My sister is in her bedroom, and my brother is in the room to playing.

My favortie room is my bedroom. It's got a big bed, a really modern TV and a Jacuzzi. I like this room because it's my space and I can relas, here. I watch DVDs in it and I cand do what I want.

1.-My Last summer

Hello, my name is Laia and now I going to talk about my last summer. 

First I'm going to explain the Spanish rowing championships, and finally I'm going to explain my trip in Haileybury (England).

Spanish rowing championships:

I took part in the Spanish rowing championships from the 5th to the 7th of  July. The qualifying we did the first position and the other boat with Cristina, Laura, Marta and Alba, were fourth. The other boat went to playoff and they classified to final A, me and Laura, Marina and Laia we classified directly to the final A. It was exciting final. We were first! And the other boat was third! To celebrate that we won, the eight grils went to sleep in my house.

Haileybury:

On 22th of July I went to Haileybury a town in UK, for two weeks. I went with my sister Carla and two more friends, Júlia and Mireia. When I arrived in London all the group took one bus and we went to the college. When I arrived at the college we went to the bedroom, then we had diner and fially we had one exam. In the morning the lessons started at 9 o´clock finsh at 1 o'clock, in the middle we had a break and you can go to th dining room to eat cookies, In the afternoon I did some activites (normally sport) and on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday an optionally on Sunday I went to an excursion. We went to Hertford, St. Albans and  also to London three times.
