7.-History about London



London is a city in the south of England. Its name was Londinium in Roman times. In Roman times only 45,000 people lived there. Now the population is about 7.5 millions.

There are places in London with the important facts in history: Trafalgar Square commemorates the battle of Trafalgar, Victoria street commemorates the Queen Victoria.

The people of London are called Londoners or "Cockneys". In London there are  a famous Londoners for example Charlie Chaplin is an actor, Arthur Conan Doyle he was writer of Sherlock Holmes stories.
